10 Questions: Do You Have What It Takes?
TheVintageNestBlog | 10 Questions: Do you think you have what it takes to make your business big | Have you given any thought to what you might have to put up with and accomplish if you want to make it in the corporate world or in your chosen profession?
I’ve been asked “what it takes” to be successful in business at least 5,000 times, so I thought I’d write down ten questions to help you figure out if you have what it takes or if you need to put in some “work.”
I remember Jim Rohn saying, “You either pay the price of discipline or the price of regret,” and it has stuck with me all these years. Regret is heavy, but discipline is light.
That being stated, consider these 10 inquiries:
How self-controlled would you call yourself?
Have you a hard time not taking criticism personally? And what about feedback? Do you have a high rate of recovery after repeated setbacks? Do you prefer to make plans ahead of time or fly by the seat of your pants? Whether or not you answer “yes,” I want to know if you’re willing to take Is it Large or Moderate? Do you give 100% of your attention to a single task until you finish it and get the desired result? If everyone else gives up, do you still have the strength to carry on? Do you have a knack for delegation, or are you the only one who can get things done properly? Do you sit back and hope for something to happen, or do you make things happen? Do you do what it takes to succeed, or do you wait for the most convenient opportunity?
To gain a clear image of who you are and how you act, you must ask yourself these questions.
Successful people, in my experience, are aware of the repercussions of inefficiency in these areas and find other means, resources, or people to manage them on their behalf.
Anything to chew on?
Keep in mind that you are capable of producing a masterpiece.
